Editorial Policy

Allcheminfo publishes independent reporting and analysis on GLP-1 medications — including semaglutide, tirzepatide, and their branded and compounded forms. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to: how content is produced, who produces it, how we handle corrections, and how we maintain independence from commercial relationships.
Our Mission
GLP-1 therapy is one of the most significant developments in metabolic medicine in decades — and also one of the most confusing landscapes for patients trying to make informed decisions. Prices vary by thousands of dollars per year. Compounded options exist in a shifting regulatory environment. Telehealth providers make competing claims.
Our mission is to cut through that noise with accurate, sourced, plainly written information that helps readers understand what these medications are, what they cost, where to get them, and what the clinical evidence actually says.
Editorial Independence
Allcheminfo earns revenue through affiliate relationships (see our Affiliate Disclosure). These relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. Our writers and editors evaluate services, providers, and products based on publicly available evidence, pricing data, and regulatory standing — not on commercial considerations.
Affiliate partners do not receive advance review of articles, do not approve content before publication, and do not have editorial input of any kind. If a partner’s product or service has significant drawbacks, we report them.
Who Writes Our Content
Our content is produced by a team of credentialed contributors with backgrounds in pharmacy, clinical nutrition, and health journalism. Contributor credentials are displayed on each article byline. Author archive pages provide full biographical information and areas of expertise.
Contributors are selected based on relevant professional qualifications and direct experience with the subject matter they cover. Pharmacists cover compounding, regulatory, and clinical content. Registered dietitians with diabetes care credentials cover metabolic and dosing topics. Health journalists cover news, policy, and cost coverage.
How We Research and Source
We rely on primary sources wherever possible. These include:
- Peer-reviewed clinical studies (PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov)
- FDA prescribing information, drug approvals, and safety communications
- Official statements from professional bodies (ADA, AACE, Obesity Society)
- Direct pricing data verified at time of publication
- Telehealth and pharmacy provider terms verified directly from their sites
We do not rely on press releases as sole sources. When we cite claims from third parties, we verify them independently before publication. Claims we cannot verify are either omitted or clearly labeled as unverified.
Pricing and Availability Data
Pricing for GLP-1 medications and telehealth services changes frequently. We note the date on which pricing data was verified in each article. Readers should confirm current pricing directly with providers before making decisions.
Medical Disclaimer
Allcheminfo is a media publication. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Content is intended for informational purposes only. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or adjusting any medication or treatment plan.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If we publish a factual error — whether in clinical data, pricing, regulatory status, or any other claim — we correct it as quickly as possible.
Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date of correction and a brief description of what changed. We do not silently edit factual errors. For minor typographical or formatting fixes, a correction note is not required.
To report an error, contact us at [email protected] with the article URL and a description of the issue. We investigate all reports and respond within 3 business days.
Content Updates
The GLP-1 space evolves rapidly — new drug approvals, FDA guidance changes, and pricing shifts can make published content outdated quickly. We review high-traffic and time-sensitive articles on an ongoing basis. Updated articles display a “Last reviewed” or “Updated” date in addition to the original publication date.
Sponsored Content and Advertising
We do not publish sponsored content or paid editorial placements. All content on Allcheminfo is produced by our editorial team without advertiser involvement. We do not accept payment to write about, review, or rank any product or service.
